Heba completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Art. She further pursued her studies in Germany, obtaining a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical and Developmental Psychology. With six years of experience in the field, Heba has worked extensively with individuals facing grief and loss, recovering from traumatic events, and dealing with different forms of abuse. She also assists those struggling with addiction, personality disorders, eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and mood disorders. Moreover, she has expertise in maternal mental health topics and group therapy.
Heba’s approach to therapy is eclectic, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. She prioritizes creating a non-judgmental and safe space where individuals feel seen, heard, and validated. As a culturally competent therapist, Heba practices cultural humility and actively works to dispel stigma and negative perceptions within diverse communities and marginalized populations. She conducts therapy sessions in Arabic, English and German.
Heba understands that finding the right mental health specialist can be challenging and inconvenient. Whether clients are new to therapy or have previous experience, she strives to establish a collaborative and synergistic relationship. She acknowledges that individuals may have specific goals or unexpected life narratives, and she is dedicated to exploring various aspects of their lives that they wish to focus on. Heba has received training in several therapy approaches, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Over the past eight years, she has gained valuable experience working in diverse settings, such as psychiatric hospitals, non-profit organizations, psychosocial counseling centers, private practice, preventive-and intervention psycho-educational programs, university student counseling, and academic research.
